The transition from macOS to Linux, and from Xcode to Visual Studio Code, was easier than expected. Although the offer of modern IDEs is rich, with PlatformIO and the new Arduino IDE 2.0, I am still missing some features and flexibility. Porting embedXcode to the new environment required virtually no changes, except some minor adaptations of paths embedXcode is now emCode. emCode runs seamlessly on Linux and Windows with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). It leverages the built-in debugger of Visual Studio Code and remote development for WSL. I haven't decided yet to share emCode as I did for embedXcode. |
