Ten Years with the Grove System
The Grove system was pioneered by Seeed Studio ten years ago.
I might have joined the system early, but I can't remember exactly when. It might have been with the Grove BoosterPack for LaunchPad or the Starter Kit for Arduino. |
Here is part of my collection of Grove modules.
It includes basic sensors and RGB LEDs, dust and weather sensors, displays, FM radios, stepper-motor controllers. Every field is represented. The Grove modules page lists more than 150 modules, and counting! |
An open system
The Grove proto-shield offers a compact board to design custom sensors.
Here are two of my projects:

Conclusion
The last addition was the Grove Beginner Kit for Arduino. A single board combines an Arduino Uno compatible controller with an array of modules.
I really like the Grove system. I can use the same sensors with the micro-controller boards like Arduino or LaunchPad and also the single-board computers like BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi. No more issues with connections errors even for advanced projects like the Remote Contactless Temperature Monitor. |
