​Saleae First Generation Logic Analyser

The Saleae Logic analyser is a small box with on miniature USB plug on one side and a main connector with ground and 8 channels on the other. 

Unfortunately, the main connector is not polarised.

The ground cable is grey and there's a small mark below the box with a ground symbol (bottom right).

Each channel has its grip, with two pins for the cable.

Pros

  • High built quality 
  • Platform agnostic software (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux)
  • Nice software ergonomics on keyboard
  • Many export options 

Cons

  • The connectors are not polarised, thus raising a risk of misplacement
  • Non-adjustable logic input threshold, although the standard one fits in most cases
