Building Automation System Sensors BoosterPack
The Building Automation System Sensors BoosterPack is the third iteration of a multi-sensors BoosterPack, after the Sensors BoosterPack and the Sensor Hub BoosterPack.
It focuses the sensors around building control. All the sensors come from Texas Instruments.
The board was sampled by Texas Instruments. |

Hardware
The Texas Instruments TMP116 infrared object temperature sensor can be detached from the main board.
It connects to the main board with a flat cable, provided in the box. |

Pins Map
The BoosterPack requires 2 pins for the I²C bus, 4 GPIOs for power, 3 optional GPIOs for interrupts, and 2 PWMs for LEDs.

Conclusion
The Building Automation System Sensors BoosterPack is a nice update of the previous multi-sensors BoosterPacks, this time with a clear focus on building and home automation and a clear target on the SimpleLink family of MSP423, CC13x0, CC265x and CC32x0 LaunchPads.
The only missing sensor is the barometer for a complete climate and weather station. As all the sensors are from Texas Instruments, they come with great collaterals: documentation, ready-to-use libraries and examples. Alas, the libraries are not yet Energia-compatible. As the previous generation was sharing similar sensors with the SensorTags, let's hope for a refreshed SensorTag with this new set of sensors. |
