The RedBear platform --previously RedBearLab— focuses on the Internet of Things, with boards featuring Bluetooth Low Energy or WiFi capabilities.
Most boards come in two form-factors, DIP or standard Arduino.
The WiFi-enabled boards run on Texas Instruments CC3200, a Cortex-M4 with an integrated WiFi. They come in two versions: the RedBearLab WiFi Mini with a DIP-20 form-factor, and the RedBearLab CC3200 with the standard Arduino pin-out.
The BLE-enabled boards are built around the Nordic nRF51822 and run on two frameworks, the Wiring / Arduino framework and the mbed SDK. They also come in two versions: the BLE Nano and MK20 USB board with a DIP-12 form-factor, and the RedBearLab nRF51822 with the standard Arduino pin-out.
Finally, the RedBear Duo combines WiFi and Bluetooth into a single board, with BlueKitchen BTstack, Blynk IoT solution, Particle infrastructure, Seeed Grove system and full Arduino compatibility.
